What does this forum offer that other local forums and/or FB groups (I don't do FB so I wouldn't know) don't already offer? E.g. what's the incentive for someone to abandon what is already established and has a high amount of traffic / content to start over here?

Most gun outdoor forums are established and have been around close to 20 years .... It's going to take time and content to establish a new one, especially in a State with such limited population. Outside Clark and Washoe County that 98% of the population live in it's mostly dry desert
