Just got back from the lake and figured I'd share my latest trip. Hit up a spot near Washoe here in Nevada, hoping to hook some bass. The weather was a bit iffy, with some clouds rolling in, but it definitely felt like a good day to be out there. I threw on a spinnerbait, which normally does the trick, but it was a bit slow for most of the morning.
Finally, around noon, I got a nice hit and pulled in a solid 3-pounder. Felt good to finally land one after a couple of missed strikes earlier. My buddy was with me, and he managed to snag one as well — his was a little smaller but still put up a good fight.
Oh, and I totally forgot my cooler, so we had to make do with some lukewarm drinks! How are the fish biting in your neck of the woods this year?
