Hey everyone, I'm wondering how many of you still get around without GPS. Ever used a map, compass or even just the sun to figure out where you are? It's a good skill to have. So if you've got any tips, tools or stories about getting lost and finding your way back? Share here

Taking a good land navigation course is always a good thing.
I keep terrain maps of my County here in Northern Nevada as well as road maps of everything within about 500 miles.

The large print Rand McNally maps are good, I get AAA maps for local towns/places

Any major differences in accuracy between the Rand McNally maps and the AAA ones?

Rand McNally are general maps that cover larger areas. AAA maps can be local/city specific.
I like Rand McNally for traveling longer distances. AAA for once I get to the destination.
