Debating between Toyota and Ford

I need something reliable that can handle rough roads to hunting spots. Toyota guys say Tacomas last forever. Ford guys say F-150s are the only real truck. I just want something that won't leave me stranded 30 miles from nowhere. What would you buy and why?

I bought a new Tacoma in 2003, put just over 300K miles on it, never a hint of a problem. Replaced it in 2024 with a new Ford F250, it's been a great truck so far, I needed something heaver for towing our trailers.

The more computers on board, the more things that can go wrong....

My only criteria for trucks

Can my Harley Davidson fit in the bed if it needs too

Every time I go to look at newer trucks .... All the gadgetry kinda scares me

If reliability is priority one, I’d lean Toyota. If space, towing and comfort matter more, probably Ford.
