Favorite winter fish species to target

When it gets cold and everyone else goes inside, I love fishing for trout especially rainbow and brown trout in Nevada. The water's cold, there are fewer people around, and the fish are biting. That's why I think winter trips are worth it..what do you like to fish for in the winter?

I’m all about trout too, especially in quieter streams...winter’s peaceful and the bite can be surprisingly good.

I love targeting pike and walleye in winter, the ice can be tough but quiet waters and steady bites make it worth braving the cold.
