Ramen Stash for Emergencies?

Curious what folks think about keeping ramen in the prep stash. I know it's not exactly nutrient-dense, but it's cheap, filling, and lasts a while.

I've got a few cases stored away, but I'm wondering how long they really last past the date. Also — is there a better way to store them than just keeping the packs in the box?

Anyone rotate ramen regularly or have tricks to make it a little more useful in a long-term situation? They seem to last longer than their expiration date.

You are Ramen Noodle man ! lol It's funny - I keep a lot of rice because it's cheap and easy to store. I have about 60 packs of Ramen noodles set aside too lol. Not exactly a well thought out plan, but at least it's something if all normal means of living goes down.

You'd be better off with dry soup mix like Bear Creek offers. 8 servings per packet. And you can choose different flavors including chili

^^^ So much that.

And some of the flavor packets can turn. We had some shrimp ramen in the back of one of the pantries that had been back there for a few years. Ugh, I'm not sure what is in the flavor packet that can turn, but it did. Sooooo bad.
