I’d love to hear from the community, what’s a hunting tradition you learned from your family? It could be a pre-hunt ritual, a special meal or a way you track and prepare game. Share your stories...

My granddad made pepper soup after every hunt when he got something. He loved it, so it became a special treat and a thing we did after hunting.

Like Magnus above, mine is a food thing:

On the last day out we would combine our various meal leftovers into the final morning's meal as an egg scramble. Could be pork, steak, chicken, rabbit, veggies, etc. Whatever leftovers got chopped and dumped in the pot as a mystery scramble.

It was named 'Bullshit' after one of the boys looked in the pot the first time it was made and said "What is this bullshit?". Ta da! A tradition was born.

That’s a great one. Food has a way of locking memories in place. Pepper soup after a successful hunt sounds like a tradition worth passing down.

Those end-of-trip meals always taste better somehow, no matter what’s in the pot. “Bullshit” is a legendary name 😂
