What do I need for a hunting license in Nevada?

Hi! Moved out to Nevada recently with my family, and now I am looking to get a hunting license for me and my 13-year-old boy. I would appreciate some help with what I need for that. Thanks!

For you and your 13-year-old, you'll each need a hunting license, and your boy qualifies for the youth license which is cheaper.

You'll both need to take hunter education if you haven't already.

Easiest way is to sign up online through NDOW.

I can confirm this, @Silver_Track8. I was in a similar situation a few years ago. Imagine that many years ago you didn't need a hunter education course if you were born before 1960.

When I moved to Nevada, I had to take the online hunter ed course first, then stopped by Cabela's to grab licenses for me and my kid, it was a super smooth process overall

My son's hunter ed course was actually a great bonding time, we practiced together and it made the licensing part smoother and way less intimidating
