Hidden storage?

Is visible better or does hidden make more sense? What's your take on safe placement?

I prefer hidden but accessible. Out of sight lowers curiosity, but it still needs to be quick to reach when it matters.

I like a safe that's easy to see, heavy, and bolted to the floor in a room that's not used much. Hiding it sounds good, but being heavy and bolted down is more than just making it secret.
