I am considering a 12.5 .308 pistol

I'm thinking of getting a 12.5 .308 pistol, but is it a good idea? The good things I can think of are that it's small and good for short distances. But there's heavy muzzle blast and the ammo is expensive. Has anyone used one of it?

A 12.5-inch .308 is powerful. It'll do well nearby but it’ll also make loud noises and cost a lot to feed

Had one I built while recovering from getting three disks fused in my neck.
It was fun shooting, but lost a lot of velocity compared to my 22" Savage bolt gun.
Traded it for a Sig Sauer 1911

I tried out a short .308 pistol for a bit and the kick and noise were a lot! But it was still pretty accurate for short distances
