Iron sight for hunting

I use scoped rifles and my buddy uses irons only. He says it's more challenging and traditional. I say why make it harder?
 
Both work. Irons are simple and satisfying, scopes make ethical shots easier, especially in low light.
 
Guess it depends where you live and shooting distances. When I lived in PA you didn't need a scope. My longest deer shot there wasn't 60 yards in the 20+ years hunting there. Used a Mosin Nagant M38 I bought for $49 back then.
Here in Nevada I use a scoped 308, because distances are usually much further and more open terrain
